Feeding the interbeast.
Okay. In case it’s not obvious, things are rocky around here, and will continue to be for some time. So consider this an acknowledgment of the problems, a promise that I’m working on them, and a request for your patience and your assistance.
Your assistance: Let me know what oddities crop up. Comment on ‘em here, email me, yell real loud — whatever.
I was (rather pleasantly) surprised to find that people are still subscribed to the feed. I guess my laziness finds a good match in yours.
Anyway, I’m now using FeedBurner for my feeds, so the new feed is at http://feeds.hypsometry.com/hypsometry/blog/articles. There’s no longer any distinction between the news feed and the blog feed. However, there is also, thanks to the cleverness of SimpleLog, a feed for comments: http://feeds.hypsometry.com/hypsometry/blog/comments.
There is also, FeedBurner tells me, a way that you can subscribe to these feeds via email, but it’s not obvious to me how you’d actually access that feature. So.
The old feeds should transparently redirect to the new feeds, so if you’re already subscribed, you should be good to go. Please let me know if that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Thanks.
Part 2.
Well, I sure fouled that up. I’ve updated the feed addresses above to the correct ones, and added the appropriate redirect so that FeedBurner is able to actually get the damn feed, so… Hopefully now we should be good to go. We’ll see.
Also, I forgot to mention that this move to a new system completely borked all old Hypsometry links. Which is super lame, I know. I’ll try to work something out later, but in the meantime: Sorry.
